Experiment: will they choose a suppressor?

Then video their reaction to which gun they choose, and compare that choice with their personal policy preference that they supported and forced on others through law due to fear and disinformation that has caused people defending their lives to go nearly deaf doing so.

Since there’s been a renewed campaign of fear and disinformation against the re-regulation of suppressors, maybe a real world application and social experiment is what’s needed to enlighten the masses, and what better way to do that than a viral video.

I’d like to create an experiment in which we do a “man on the street” interview with typical clueless uptalkers, and ask for their uninformed opinion of suppressor re-regulation.

Invite those critics of suppressors to a recreation of a bedroom, complete with bed, night stands, lights, dressers, closets, and anything else you’d typically find in a bedroom.

On a night stand there would be three things: a gun, a gun with a suppressor, and a cell phone.

Each participant will be told that somebody has just broken into the house and is going to rape and/or kill them or a member of their family. They have to use one of these two guns to stop it from happening.

They will be told that they must fire at least three rounds from the gun they choose at a specified, safe target that has also been set up inside the room. They will be warned that the gun without the suppressor will cause permanent hearing damage, while the other with a suppressor won’t.

Then video their reaction to which gun they choose, and compare that choice with their personal policy preference that they supported and forced on others through law due to fear and disinformation that has caused people defending their lives to go nearly deaf doing so.

If they refuse to pick up either gun because “guns are evil and have no place in a civilized society”, they may pick up the cell phone on the night stand and call 911. Then have a man burst through the door and tackle them onto the bed, pinning them down while they’re told the police will be there in 10 minutes, and to think about everything that could be done to them in that time.

Make sure they signed the waiver first.
