Vegas shooter didn't use a machine gun

Photos have apparently been leaked from inside the Mandalay Bat hotel room that show at least two of the rifles used by the murderer.

Photos have apparently been leaked from inside the Mandalay Bat hotel room that show at least two of the rifles used by the murderer.

In an effort to not spread fake news or faked up photos, I was able to independently find a photo of the carpet from inside a Mandalay Bay suite that matches the carpet in the leaked photos, so for now it checks out.

One clearly shows a standard AR with a Bump Fire stock. A Bump Fire stock is operated by a combination of the recoil of the rifle which slides the rifle back into the stock, and the operator pulling forward on the rifle so the trigger pulls against the finger. It is not classified as "manufacturing a machine gun" per the ATF, but when used as designed it can manually increase the rate of fire. This would account for the erratic rate of fire that can be heard in many of the videos circulating around the web that many media outlets are claiming in automatic weapon fire.

If this is the case, at least in the case of this one rifle pictured, a machine gun wasn't used in the attack.

The images SHOWN HERE picture the AR15 with the Bump Fire stock and an Eotech holographic sight and Surefire Magazine. Also shown is a scoped AR10 in .308 which appears to be in a standard configuration and the small sledgehammer that is believed he used to smash the windows in the suite.

The media will likely continue to tell you that an automatic weapon was used in order to fit their narrative to further try and push more gun control down our throats. When in fact even the Clark County Sheriff has been noted in saying that he doesn't believe any different action by first responders or further gun control would have stopped this incident.
