California amends SB 704 to require background checks on all barrels

As of January 1, 2027, barrels will require background checks in California.

On October 10, 2025 the California Governor signed an amendment to SB 704.

This amendment will require people who wish to purchase a firearm barrel to do so through a licensed dealer AND pass a background check.

This amendment will go into effect January 01, 2027

There are dealer requirements in the amendment and nuanced details.

I love youre website im looking forward to purchasing my first registered civilian issued weapon from your store unfortunately I love California's climate vs Arizonas but love the 2nd amendment laws way more there then here in California. That being said at least I don't have to go to the state police headquarters to register to buy an airsoft replica like You do in New Jersey where I was raised.. Im a man that believes we should teach our daughters how to operate a firearm and give them there conceal carry as a birth right oh wait I thought they already did that for men in 1776.

I don't care what state you live in, but any law that is in place against the 2nd amendment is an infringement to our rights. The saddest part is the people are voting these corrupted morons into office. We the People need to make a stand to make a difference.
