SK Customs is proud to introduce the fifth iteration of the Mexican War of Independence series, featuring Miguel Hidalgo, the “Padre de la Patria,” translated as “Father of the Nation”. Limited to only ONE of 200 Colt 1911s chambered in .38 Super.
“Hidalgo” will be a limited-edition production run of only 200 Full Size Government Model Colt 1911s chambered in .38 Super. Each pistol will include a special engraved edition number.
Details on the left side of the gun’s slide include an artistically engraved mural with unique stylizing of the words “Viva Nuestra Madre Santissima” (translated: “Long live our most Holy Mother”) referring to the Virgin Mary. Also engraved on the left slide of the slide are the words “Muera el mal gobierno!” (translated: “Death to the bad government!”), referring to Fernando VII, the ruler of Spain during this era. Further captivating art, such as a flag with the Lady of Guadalupe, the Mexican Eagle, supporting insurgents and scroll work, beautify the front and back of the slide. The “Bandera El Doliente de Hidalgo” (translated: “Flag of the mourner of Hidalgo”) is also engraved along the slide.
