The 18" competition profile barrel features a rifle-length gas system for reliability with all ammo types. At the end of the 1/2 x 28 threaded 1 in 8 twist barrel, you have a standard A2 bird cage style muzzle brake. The 18" 1 in 8 twist barrel is ideal when it comes to maximizing accuracy while still maintaining a high degree of maneuverability. Both upper and lower receivers are forged 7075 T6 Aluminum Type 3 hard anodized in black. The upper receiver itself is a flat top so you can add a detachable carry handle or a riser with the optic of your choice, or simply go with the Magpul MBUS flip-up rear sight which comes included. This rifle further features a M4 Collapsable Buttstock, an A2 pistol grip, and an A2-style plastic clamshell handguard. An M16 profile bolt carrier comes standard in each rifle.
