This is a specialty punch designed for installing a bolt catch but can has many other applications.
Made from high grade stainless steel here in the USA, this tool allows the user to install the bolt catch roll pin without an extra set of hands while minimizing the risk of damaging the lower receiver with the punch and/or hammer. The 5.5" length of the tool allows the user to hammer on the punch freely without having the impact portion of the punch to close to the lower.
The tip of the punch is recessed in order to allow the pin to sit inside the punch so that a set of fingers is unnecessary for keeping the punch on the pin. Additionally, the tip is tapered in order to minimize risk of hitting the side of the lower while installing the tool.
This is a must have tool for the at home armorer.
